This past November, Motorola Solutions launched a new brand narrative to more clearly communicate the value of what we do – Solving for safer. Ms. Jo Tse, Motorola Solutions’ Regional Director for North Asia puts this into the context of North Asia. 

Jo: Motorola Solutions has a track record of nearly 100 years of innovation and reinvention. We have always prided ourselves in helping people be their best in the moments that matter, especially when lives are on the line. With our new brand narrative we’re telling everyone we work with – from our customers, partners and investors to the world at large – that we’re sharpening our focus on safety and security.

We can only be our best when we are safe

Safety is the prerequisite for possibility. It’s the constant that empowers people to confidently move forward. It’s the foundation on which everything else is built. Everyone wants to live in a safer community with safer schools, hospitals, airports, utilities, and businesses. Motorola Solutions is solving for safer everywhere. 

Jo: I always feel safe in North Asian cities; I don’t mind walking around by myself at night. Part of that may have to do with the fact that there are many CCTV cameras. In Japan, for example, there are around 5 million CCTVs installed in the country. But a larger part of it has to do with the responsiveness of first responders and their ability to do their job well, many of them rely on our technology.

People are stronger united. People and technology connected makes everywhere safer. Because ultimately, it’s people putting their own lives at risk to save others. Jo: One thing we’re really proud of in North Asia is that our team has accumulated a breadth and depth of knowledge, experience and understanding of our customers. The average Motorola Solutions employee in the region has been working in the company for 15 years. Some of our key employees have even been with the company for decades. This unity and commitment gives us an edge in supporting our customers. I believe our people have such a strong sense of commitment to the company because we’re all passionate about what we do, which is about helping people. And our focus now is to help people by connecting people and technology to make everyone safer.
